What exciting news to hear last night so Bob Thompson and I rushed out early this morning to the Deep Bay hide.  Unfortunately for some reason the tide did not rise high enough to bring the birds too close to the hide ( about 100 meters away) but it was great to see them so close , despite the fishing nets out there and the hovercraft coming by.
  These are just a few digiscoped photos of the few birds we could see. Great Knot in breed color,curlew sandpiper(breed) with flag and Terek Sandpipers of particular interest. Next week should be better. Neil

the real time tide today show it's 0.2m below the forecast.. :( :(

The photos were taken from the Deep Bay Hide and at pond 16/17 Hide 7.Neil.
