Dear All,

The following message was received from the banding team at Chongming Dongtan. Please keep you eye out for leg-flagged birds as well as those with engraved flags.

"We have banded and leg-flagged 984 shorebirds in 32 species in the past 3 weeks. The top five species are: great sandplover: 313, long-toed stint: 153, terek sandpiper: 145, redshank: 88, and common greenshank: 54. Also we used the coded leg-flags with Great knot, red knot, whimbrel, bar-tailed godwit and common greenshank (totally 52 birds). Hope you can find more shorebirds with black and white leg flags in this winter!"
