Interesting information. The cancellation of Dongting Lake Bird Race has encourage bird watchers in mainland China to organize a "Bird Watching Carnival" (some mentioned "Bird Watching Ralli") through the internet. The event started on 2nd December to 20th. Participants could spend any 24 hours (consecutive) during the period, and submit the record to WWFChina website.

自洞庭湖觀鳥比賽延期後，有鳥迷在網上辦了一個觀鳥活動，名為「觀鳥嘉年華月」(也有人稱「觀鳥拉力賽」、「瘋狂觀鳥月」)。鳥友可以在12月2日至20日在任何地點進行過24小時觀鳥後，將記錄提交至WWFChina 網站。關於活動規則和提交記錄方法，可瀏覽以下網頁：
