Message from Tai Po Environmental Association for members' information:

Dear eco-friends,

Workshop of Fung Yuen SSSI Monitoring Programme

You may be aware there are some people quite regularly collecting butterflies, their eggs and larva at “Fung Yuen Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)” in Tai Po. We could not allow such kinds of immoral and non-green activity to be continued.

In this connection, our Association is going to organize a “Fung Yuen SSSI monitoring programme” to be conducted by a team of “nature volunteers”. This programme will be commenced in 30 November 2003 (coming Sunday) and mainly performed on weekends and public holidays (note: the actual date depends on number of volunteer available).

In order to encourage more people to join this voluntary monitoring programme, we will offer a half-day workshop opened to your members and volunteers. Your kind assistance in passing this message to your members and volunteers is very much appreciated. It is our pleasure to have the butterfly expert from Hong Kong Lepidopterists’ Society as instructor of this workshop. Don’t miss this chance to enjoy butterfly watching.

Gathering: 1: 30 p.m. at Tai Po Market KCRC station (ticketing counters)
