Still remember the numerous fishing nets appeared at the mudflat in April last year?! http://www.hkbws.org.hk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Conservation;action=display;num=1050851444

Yesterday morning (08/4/2004), besides the illegal fisherman, we could also see several hundred meters of nets were being setted up at the mudflat for catching fish. The fisherman used the bamboo sticks posted at the mudflat to quickly set up the nets during the low tide.

AFCD please remove the nets immediate so as to avoid any further disturbance to this important wetland.

Latest Update

As reported by our members, AFCD & WWF had jointly removed the nets from the mudflat in yesterday afternoon. :D
It would be more perfect if the action could be carried out a little earlier during the high tide period before the wader arriving the mudflat. :P
