Disturbance to the Chinese White Dolphin by dolphin watch tours is increasing. On public holidays up to 60 tourist boats can be operating in the same waters. Some boats even chased the dolphins at high speed, disregarding the code of conduct. A study found that when approached by boats, the diving time of the dolphins has increased from 1 to 2 minutes to 6 minutes. AFCD will monitor the situation by strengthening patrols during the coming peak season. The Hong Kong Dolphin Conservation Society is recruiting Dolphin Conservation Ambassadors to promote the code of conduct ( http://www.hkbws.org.hk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Discussion;action=display;num=1085833627 ).
