「最新發布的調查( 《長江三峽工程生態與環境監測公報》)顯示，三峽水庫蓄水令魚類及鳥類減少，對牠們的繁殖不利。……“遊禽中僅見到綠頭鴨、斑嘴鴨、鴛鴦、棉鳧等幾種”，而“以往容易見到的赤麻鴨、普通秋鴨等消失”。」

The latest official environment monitoring report said that bird and fish populations are reducing as water level rises in the reservoir created by the Three Gorges Dam Project. “Common birds such as Ruddy Shelduck and Goosander have disappeared.”
