The KFBG (Kadoorie Farm) has prepared a useful document titled“Standard Operating Procedure for Monitoring Ecological Hotspots in Hong Kong”. It gives advices on how to draw government department’s attention to destruction of local ecological environment. Step-by-step instructions on five typical scenarios are given, each of which is illustrated by real life cases.

Scenario 1 – Land use change
Scenario 2– Dumping at ecological hotspots / non ecological hotspots / private lands
Scenario 3 – Objections against inappropriate zoning in draft Outline Zoning Planning
Scenario 4 – Tree cutting
Scenario 5 – Environmental disturbance by construction projects of the government and public utilities

嘉道理農場最近編制了一本手冊，提出監察香港的生態熱點的標準程序，以便更有效的將破壞生態環境的事件向政府部門報告。手冊提供了詳細的步驟，教人如何處理五種常見的情況，並附上參考實例：

1.　改變土地用途
2.　在生態熱點、非生態熱點或私人土地堆填廢物
3.　對分區計劃大綱草圖中不適當的規劃提出反對
4.　砍伐樹木
5.　有損環境的政府或公用事業工程
