Seminar on the Management and Conservation of Mai Po Nature Reserve

Date: 9 October 2004 (Saturday)
Time: 14:00 ¡V 18:00 h
Venue: City University of Hong Kong

To let people understand more about the management and conservation of Mai Po Nature Reserve, WWF Hong Kong will be holding a public meeting on 9 October 2004 at the City University of Hong Kong. This will be followed by a detailed tour to Mai Po Nature Reserve guided by Mai Po staff on 16 October 2004. Speakers at the meeting and guides on the tour will explain the work carried out at the Reserve and how these works contribute to the conservation and management of this internationally important wetland.
WWF Hong Kong manages Mai Po Nature Reserve on behalf of the Hong Kong Government and therefore, has a responsibility to explain to the public how the Reserve is managed. A second aim of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the public to give feedback to WWF Hong Kong on the management of the Reserve, so that the management and conservation of the Reserve can continue to improve.
