美國一項研究顯示，在本世紀末受到天氣轉變及環境受到破壞，將有一成雀鳥絕種。

該項研究指出，至少1200種雀鳥將在2100 年絕種，而自1500年以來只有1.3%雀鳥絕種，所以速度加快。由於雀鳥對維持自然生態系統十分重要，大量雀鳥絕種將影響人類的生活。

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Ten percent of all bird species are set to disappear by the end of this century -- and with them the services they provide such as cleaning up carcasses and spreading seeds, U.S. researchers say.
