Title: Study and conservation of Wildlife in Shiwandashan

A book called "Study and conservation of Wildlife in Shiwandashan region" by Zhou Fang and Zhou Jie et al was published in 2004 (ISBN 7-5038-3919-8, RMB 45 = roughly USD 5.6). This book describes the status and diversity of wildlife including birds and mammals in a mountainous area in western Guangxi, south China.

A food habit study and nesting site description on the endangered White-eared Night Heron (WENH) is also included. As we all know, very little is known about the prey items of this mystery heron. This study shows that two freshwater stream fish species Opsariichthys bidens and Acrossocheilus parallens were found in two dead WENHs.
