2nd Franklin's Gull for China

Just had news from Alister Benn that a Limosa tour group led by Jesper Hornskov today found what is apparently the second ever Franklin's Gull (Larus pipixcan) for China - an adult assuming winter plumage on the mudflats at Beidaihe. Alister has kindly sent in a fine photo of the bird.

Interestingly, the first record of this species was on the exact same date last year by Paul Holt at Tanggu, Tianjin. Perhaps this is the same individual returning.
