Title: Recent postings on the Birds Korea¡@Áú°ê³¾·|ºô¶ Post by HKBWS Project on Sep 20th, 2005, 11:11am Recent postings on the Birds Korea Warm autumn greetings from South Korea. Recent postings on the Birds Korea website include: 1) Some stunning images of Spoon-billed Sandpiper. See especially the petition page for Hakata Bay in Japan: http://www.birdskorea.org/hakata2005_petition.asp http://www.birdskorea.org/BLaug05.asp Hakata Bay activists (Ikeda Minami, Matsumoto Satoru and Hattori Takoru) have asked us to thank all of those who have already signed their petition asking for a larger bird park in Fukuoka's Hakata Bay, and to help them raise many more "international signatures"... Surely a small wetland in Japan with 30 wintering Black-faced Spoonbill, a migrant Oriental White Stork in August and so far 2 juvenile Spoon-billed Sandpiper this September alone is worthy of quite alot of international attention and concern! 2) Some very challenging shrike images taken last week in SW Korea...opinions from those with experience of separating juvenile phoenicuroides and collurio (as well as Brown and hybrids) would be most appreciated! http://www.birdskorea.org/birds_latest.asp Nial Moores, Charlie Moores, Park Meena Birds Korea |
