Found a few along the bank at Nam San Wai yesterday. It's really fast growing, and much taller than the native mangroves.

Two species of foreign mangrove sonneratia were found at Deep Bay since 2000. They probably came from the artificial Futian mangroves in Shenzhen across the border. AFCD expected that they would not reduce the size of the mudflat because they cannot stand high salinity and their trunks have to stay above water to breathe.
