Highlights of the Birding records in April.

168 Lesser White-fronted Geese and 800 Baikal Teals were recorded at Helong Reservoir in Dandong City, Jilin province on Mar 31st. Relevant photo is available at:

19 Great Bustards, three White-naped Cranes, two Pallas¡¦s Sandgrouses, one White-fronted Goose and nine Oriental Plovers were recorded at Wild Duck Lake, Beijing on April 3rd. Relevant photo is available at:

A male Rufous-bellied Niltava was recorded at Zhongshan University, Guangzhou, Guangdong province on April 3rd. Relevant photo is available at:

A female Black-naped Monarch was recorded at Zhongshan University, Guangzhou, Guangdong province on April 9th. Relevant photo is available at:

Two Japanese Paradise-flycatchers were recorded at Zhongshan University on April 10th and at Longdong Reservoir on April 17th, respectively, in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. Relevant photos are available at:

18000 Black-tailed Godwits, 12000 Marsh Sandpipers, 1500 Black-winged Stilts and 1000 Pied Avocets were recorded at Huanggang reservoir, Tianjin on April 11th. 10000 Black-tailed Godwits   and one Red-necked Grebe were reported from the same place five days later.

Eight Great Bustards were recorded at Miyun Reservoir, Beijing on April 11th.

A Spoon-billed Sandpiper was reported from Chongming Island, Shanghai on April 13th. Relevant photo is available at:

Several flocks of Japanese Swamp Warblers were reported at Nanjishan NR in April. Songs were heard. Relevant photos are available at:

Two Hainan Blue Flycatchers were recorded at Zhongshan University, Guangzhou, Guangdong province on April 12~14th.

21 Grey-faced Buzzard Eagles were recorded at Zhonghuashan National Forest Park, Guangshui, Hubei province on April 14-16th by Mr. Liu Yang.

Two Little Curlews were recorded at the golf course of the Shenzhen city, Guangdong province on April 15th.

100 Black Bazas were seen flying toward the north over the Longdong Reservoir, Guangzhou, Guangdong province at 13:08 on April 17th, and 75 more were seen flying over Zhuliao Town, Guangzhou, Guangdong province on April 23rd. Relevant photo is available at:

Two White-throated Needletails and two Bonelli's Hawk Eagles were reported from Xianjuding Forestry Work, Dawu, Hubei province on April 17~18th by Mr. Liu Yang.  

72 Chinese Sparrowhawks were seen flying over Xiamen Airport on April 20th by Mr. Jiang Hangdong.
