SPECIAL NOTICE
Must Be Read by All Persons Entering Mai Po Nature Reserve

In view of wild birds are suspected to carry avian flu, bird watchers carrying out bird watching activities inside Mai Po Nature Reserve must note the following points to ensure personal health and public hygiene:

1.Keep a distance from wild birds, their nests, eggs, feathers on ground or their excreta.
2.Wear a facemask when necessary.
3.Bring along wet tissue paper (soaked with alcohol) or alcohol-based handrub for cleansing hands.
4.Wash your hands before using your telescope.
5.If you have touched any wild bird, feather or excreta inside the Nature Reserve, you should cleanse your hands with alcohol-based handrub or wet tissue (soaked with alcohol) that you bring along immediately. You should also wash your hands at the following locations (map provided) where supply of water is available:
i.Mai Po Public toilet, FEHD
ii.The Panda Souvenir Shop, WWFHK
iii.The Wildlife Education Centre, WWFHK
iv.Nature Warden Office, AFCD
6.Used tissue paper should be disposed of properly.
7.Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth by your hands. Use a tissue paper to cover up your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
8.If you are feeling unwell, please go home and take a rest.
