Dear members,

Wildlife photo taking competition

The elegant and beautiful organisms evolved from the Nature are always the capture of photographers' cameras. However, it is not the privilege of those who live in African grasslands and Amazon rainforests. Despite the tiny area, there are more than 25000 species living and fostering in Hong Kong including mammals, birds, insects, trees etc. If only paying more attention, you can discover that the number of the species in Hong Kong is as many as the countless stars in the sky.

The wildlife photo taking competition held by Environmental Life Science Society is going to start. This year theme is any animal in the nature. We, sincerely, invite you to get close to the Nature, take a shot of the finest side of the wildlife in Hong Kong, share your fabulous photos with all HKU students and win the great prizes.

Date: from 23rd January to 10th March
Objectives: all HKU students
Way of participation: hand in the photos to our counter at ground floor of Chong Yuet Ming Amenities Center from 6th March to 10th March.
Judges: MR.Ken Cheng¡Xthe ddirector of Eco-Eduation and Resource Center and the founder of hkNature.org.
Prizes: one champion, the first runner-up and the second runner-up will be granted $400, $200 and $100 electronic appliance coupons respectively. Delicate souvenirs will be granted for excellent photos.

Rules:
1. The contents of photos are confined to the organisms in the Nature.
2. The participants should write down his or her name, contact number, email and the title of the photos on the back of the photos
3. Each participant is only allowed to hand in at most 2 photos.
4. The sizes of the photos must be 8R and the photos should be placed in an envelope.
5. The digital photos must not be manipulated by computer.
6. The results of the competition is totally determined by the society.
7. The society has the authority to use the photos as exhibition, collection and publication and need not announce or pay reward to the authors. The photos will not be given back to the participants.
8. The rules of the competition can be altered by the society if necessary.
