From my research earlier, the SWAROVSKI brand is quite reputable for its spotting scope.  Of course users may have their own preference.  For the SW brand, there is the choice of 65mm and 80mm, and also with or without special lens coating.  The 80mm model enjoys a slightly brighter image than the 65mm but the difference may not be observable under normal conditions.  Some people suggest that the difference may make its presence in digiscoping.  The trade off is its weight apart from it higher price.  The approx. price for new scopes is about $10,000/$13000/$16000 for 65mm(uncoated)/65mm(coated) or 80mm(uncoated)/80(coated).  The eyepiece 20x-60x is the most popular for waterbirds.  You will never find it sufficient because the birds are always too far away but in general it serves the purpose by showing very detailed images.

thanks a lot, world cup...
but my budget is cut largely by my 'tiger'  ;)
I think I couldnt afford to get SW or ZEISS recently...
Maybe find the cheaper for beginning.... save more money and wait for the EURO deflating....:)
