朋友間學校發現白頭鵯鳥巢一個...但礙於h5n1的威脅, 不可不搬...但巢內有幼鳥數隻, 不想傷害小生命, 也不想移巢後令成鳥棄巢...有何高見...十萬火急

It is less likely that Chinese Bulbul will spread H5N1 to people, esp when they are breeding. Sick birds are not fit enough to breed.

If your friend's school is really afraid of H5N1 (that should not exist), they could clean up the nearby env more frequently, e.g. washing the floor

Also, they could set up a no-go zone to isolate the nest from the students.

Pls note that disturbing a bird nest may be an offence in accordance with the Wild Animal Protection Ordinance.

Biologically, there is a high chance that the parents will abandon the nest if it has been disturbed by human beings.

From what I can gather of this situation, I strongly suggest that the leadership of this school should send a powerful message to the students in their care: be sensible, "seek truth from facts" (Mao Zedong, not the best source of support on wildlife protection perhaps), show a positive attitude towards our city's birds and, above all, DON'T PANIC IN AN IRRATIONAL WAY.

Oh yes...respect the law too!
