The Swallows' Return, or Yen zi lai le, is a bi-lingual collection of reflective essays about birds and the natural environment of Taiwan by poet Kate Rogers. The author, a committed environmentalist, has observed birds and animals in many of the remaining wild places in Asia, Canada and southern Africa.

Kate will read passages from The Swallows’ Return along with some of her nature poetry on June 7, 2006, from 8pm, at the monthly poetry reading, Outloud. Location: The Fringe Club, 2 Lower Albert Road, Central, Hong Kong, 2521 7251. Signed copies of The Swallows Return will be available at the reading.
