Title: Re: Red throated pipit Post by TUNG on Oct 20th, 2002, 11:38pm it is a Olive-backed (or Indian Tree) Pipit. The bird has a small white spot on check and no whitish line on the back. Also, you could really see the back is real 'olive'. Tung |

Title: Re: Olive-backed (or Indian Tree) Pipit Post by gjcarey on Nov 6th, 2002, 3:03pm I think you'll find it's a Red-throated Pipit. I can see no white spot at the rear of the ear coverts, the supercilium is not very bold, and the wing-bars are too distinct for OBP. Also, the streaking on the mantle appears to dark for the latter.
