Great shots! I really like the second image - gives me a special feel. Way to go ...

Let me guess, you're also using DSLR for these shots?

Great! Very lovely! I like a pair in a single picture very much. Both of the pictures.
BTW, do you know their relationship? brother, sister? or husband,wife?

Dear Marcus and friends,

I seem to me that the higher bird in the first picture, and the lower bird on the second picture has at least two ages of feathers. The new feathers include all the primaries, some secondaries, and the inner tails feathers. They are fresher and longer. So I would say this bird is older, may be in its second year. The old short feathers are first-year feathers and the new longer ones are second-year feathers.

The other bird has all feathers the same age, same length and same freshness. So I think this is a first-year bird.
