#1 :-[ although it clearly shows the kingfisher and with more details, it looks unnatural and flat
#2 ;D the dim lighting & dark color match with the surrounding environment; some white patterns at the background increase the stereo-effect of the photo

With less intensity on fill flash, the result could have been better than as is ...

Thanks. I agree that filled flash with lesser intensity may be better. May try next time.

i also see this common kingfisher on the same stone yesterday. I think she lives here. ;D
