I used to think that only very common spieces like those of spotted dove, Chinese Bulbul, tree sparrow exist in Tseung Kwan O which is crowded with housing estates now. But there are always surrprise when we pay more attention to our surrounding. The following birds was found in an open area just beside a big public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O:

You can also find many interesting birds along a section of the old Po Lam Road that is now closed to traffic (beyond the old Tiu Keng Leng Police Station).

I found Wryneck,  Daurian Redstart,  Grey-backed Thrush, Little Bunting, Blue Magpie and a large flock of Black-necked Starlings there during the winter atlas survey.
