708.5 Eurasian Collared Dove 灰斑鳩
Fung Lok Wai (Tsim Bei Tsui) 豐樂圍 (尖鼻咀)

Two Eurasian Collared Doves were seen at the fishponds near the bridge. They have similar size with Spotted Dove but their body color are very plain & even lighter than the Red Collar Dove.

Another good way to separate the two species is that Red Turtle Dove is small and has a shorter tail. - Also a good way to separate from Spooted dove if the birdis faraway  or in silhouette.

Cheers

Tsim Bei Tsui 尖鼻咀, mid December, 2002. Contrast slightly exaggerated.

I think this bird is also a Collared Dove. It has been around for a while. It probably becomes a resident bird in Tsim Bei Tsui.
