Would you tell us what was the prey, a bird or a fish?

A fish and the head was eaten... :P

From my many hours of observation in the field, Black-eared Kite consumes their meal in flight rather than 'perch and eat' and occasionally looses their catch that way ...

Now to the photo, it's a good capture, Daniel! I suspect you had it cropped too much judging from the grainy appearance, right?

Hi Deniel,

Can you mention the date (XX Feb 2003) of your photo, please.

Forrest,

Having doubly checked the sequence of my slides, it should be taken on 15 Feb 2003.

Regards
Daniel

KK,

Yes, the picture was cropped out 30+% of the unwanted background. The original image is quite sharp even though the kite is not large enough. My photoshop technique is not good enough then.

Thanks and regards
Daniel
