Canon EOS 10D, AV Mode, 1/2000, f4, ISO400, EF500mm, Evaluative Exposure Compensation +2
Originally landscape mode, bird in full frame but cropped left and right only
I have written a short essay on EOS1D for bird photography in Chinese. Have a look if interested;)

Daniel,

I like the second shot from the top! The eye has it .... ;D

It just goes to show that the AF tracking with EOS-10D is usable for flight shot! Thanks for sharing your experience.

great photo! how much did ur new toy cost? Keep shooting! hope that i can see ur flying common kingfisher in real soon!

Great shoot, where is best spot for Osprey in Tsim Bai Tsui , I have't got any Osprey there :-[

I had left at around 1:30-2:00pm as I was too tired to carry two bodies (10D + 1V) around in TBT. In addition, I urged to back home to learn with my new toy! ;D

I was just standing at the side of one of the fish pond to catch some Barn Swallow in flight, but failed. A moment later , I saw the Osprey be flying near to me gradually. He finally approached me and watched what I was doing!

Hopefully, it is a lucky start of using 10D for bird action shots.;D
