Haven't seen them for a month, what a surprise to see them again. there were total 9 of them today. We started photoing them at 5 pm.

They flew away when the sun was nearly gone, at about 6pm. And then, we saw 2 bats flying round and round above.  :oWe thought they were birds at the begining but found out they didn't have any tails and the wings were crooked. it was another surprise beside the return of the chinese greenfinches.:D

I never realised there were so many birds there when I lived at On King St. before. I picked up bird watching only after moving to live near Mai Po. I could now see Black-winged Stilt from my home.

Uh-o... :P
there are uncommon winter visitors this year, like the rufous-tailed robin and siberian rubythroat.
are you going to come back to have a look? i can tell you the exact location. ;D
but i believe Mai Po has more birds than Sha Tin. ::)

Are they located somewhere around the park right under Ravana Garden?

Camel,
yes, near Ravana Garden. The entrance of On King St. Park. you can find 7 大葉紫薇 facing the floating restaurant. they eat the seeds of 大葉紫薇.
if you want to see Siberian Rubythroat, grey-backed thrush, rufuous-tailed robin and olive backed pipit, go to the back of the new canoe rowing centre. located at the end of On King St.
