Title: Orange-headed Thrush 橙頭地鶇 Post by BERNARD on Feb 19th, 2004, 11:23pm 299 Orange-headed Thrush 橙頭地鶇 Chung Mei 涌尾 14/2/2004 , evening Canon 1D & Sigma 800mm F5.6, ISO200, 1/30 sec http://www.geocities.com/hbirdk/OHGTHRUSH.JPG It was too easy to approach, not scared by motor vehicles. It isn't as shy as it should be. Most birders think it is an escaped or buddists released cage bird. Just as those Diamond Doves found near Bride's Pool. |

Title: Re: Orang Headed Ground Thrush Post by Geoff Carey on Feb 22nd, 2004, 2:33pm The behaviour of this bird is entirely typical of the species in HK. Early morning forays, unobtrusive and approachable. I don't think there is any question that it is not wild. Geoff |
