Title: Eurasian Skylark 雲雀 Post by HF_Cheung on Nov 5th, 2002, 11:05am 147 Eurasian Skylark 雲雀 Long Valley 塱原 03/11/2002 Assuming that you know this is a Skylark from the first photo, go to the second picture. http://www.hkbws.org.hk/fileServer/PhotoG/hfcheung/Dscn0409.jpg http://www.hkbws.org.hk/fileServer/PhotoG/hfcheung/Dscn0408.jpg Note the three tertials marked by red pointers above the tail in the photo, and also the tip of the longest primary. Note that the tip of the longest primary is roughly 0.5 in (1.3 cm) longer than the tip of the longest tertial. This is a good field mark for Northern Skylark (effectively rule out Oriential Skylark). |
