Hi Wilson

Nice picture!

This is a Common Sandpiper.

You can tell by the long bill and the white patches sticking up from the side of the breast.

Hi Wilson,

Have you got the "Birds of Hong Kong & South China - 香港及華南鳥類" yet? It is a very good reference for bird watchers and photographers.
There are many photo guides from Japan and Taiwan which are very good for ID HK birds as well!

I got the "Birds of Hong Kong & South China" but still have difficulties in finding the right bird in the book. Any way, thank you very much for your help and advice.

You have to buy it online via ESDLife Hong Kong (http://bookstore.esdlife.com/) since the real-world bookstore is closed earlier this year.
