Wonderful photo CY!

It just shows you can really find good birds anywhere if you keep your eyes open!

There is no reason why Yellow Bittern should not be in HK Park:

1) It is a late spring migrant and summer visitor
2) Especially in heavy rain, migrant birds can literally fall out of the sky to the nearest piece of habitat - 慯he ponds in HK Park provide appropriate habitat. - I once saw Striated Heron land on a flooded astroturf hockey pitch inside Happy Valley racecourse during a rainstorm in May!
3) There's at least one previous record of a small bittern in HK Park
4) Also Night Herons are resident in HK Park!

Thanks to Griffin, Issac and Mike.

The first photo was taken in HK Park last year and the second and third photos were taken in Lamma Island last Sunday .

Just meet you in APDC on Saturday, talking about your nice pictures. You give us excellent photos again tne next day! We should go birding together someday.
