Very interesting photo! Is the Kite trying to get a fish underneath or a frog in the grassland?

The Black-shouldered Kite was seen by 648 & me during the waterfowl count at Tsim Bei Tsui this morning. After hovering for 2~3 minutes over a fishpond & then a sudden diving down, it stood on a post with the prey which looked like a fish and was enjoying it.  As it was too far away from us and our view was blocked by the fence, we could not see where it caught the prey and what the prey exactly was. ???

Hope you all can see it again in TBT. ;D

A lovely Kite!! Thanks for 648's sharing!

To me, TBT is a very nice bird-watching place because there are Black Kites!! ;D Sometimes could have a close watching too!
