An unknown bird was seen in Penfold Park today. :-/
Maybe a snipe but I am not sure. It flashed by the bushes.
On Wednesday(8/9/2004), a red turtle dove was seen on the racing course. Last time we saw it was during the spring migration. :D

From newspapers, it has reported that the Jockey Club may propose a plan to reform the Penfold Park into an Olymipic game court in 2008 (if HK could sharing some of the Beijing 2008), I think it is the time to have a systematic bird record of Penfold park. We all know the Park is one of the huge night roost of egrets (>500) and breeding site of egrets in Tai Po / Shatin area.
