Recorded in a overcast moment and backlighting angle. So I wish that I could make a fill-flash for the shot, but often not able to do so in a hide. ::)

Love the pose captured, Daniel!
Agree with the need for ff here. Some mid-tone adjustments will pop this one however ... ::)

A vertical crop would work even better in this case.

Excellent photo. For id purpose, this is a juvenile (born this year) because its breast still has grey streaks. It is also a female because it has reddist lower bill. I can imagine that all the flight feathers are fresh becuase there are only a few months old.
