Really?! Will it be due to 500IS vs 600IS instead of 10D vs 20D? The 秘訣 is to get up earilier to capture the morning incident light! You have followed this rule already! ;)

A little too dark for my taste.
I think as far as image quality I can't see much difference between 20D and 10D with this web size presentation ... ;)

Very cool! 8) Like the warm soft light and sharpness... :)
Didn't recall seeing them yesterday. Must be before I arrived. :( Still cannot comprehen how you guys can get flight shots so large in the frame. My sharper shots are always very small. As the image becomes larger, they are either totally blur or all over the place.... :-[ I think I only have my eye-hand coordination to blame... :P

No, Angus, one BHG had been on the broadwalk hide till you arrived and left, although this shot was taken before you and KK arrived. ;D

You need to practise more (with skills, learning birds habits etc. and LUCK) to get almost full frame action shots.
