My favourite local patch-
This park is located by the side of Shing Mun River at outlet to Tolo Harbour. Here I have records of Ruby Throat on 24/1/04 after a cold front. Rufous-tailed Robin on 9/2/04, Chinese Greenfinch on Nov 03- April 04. Last week I saw a Rufous-capped Babbler. Before it was constructed into a park, about 10 years ago, it was a stretch of undisturbed grass & woods. There was a small egretry here too. Those were the days, we had crickets & grasshoppers big as king prawn.
