I think this is the same bird that Daniel photographed recently. Its a very handsome looking bird!!  ::)

A little unfortunate that #4 is no not sharp :(

kk, as I mentioned to you earlier, it was my big mistake trying to add in the 2x... :( I should not have been greedy for a close up and instead just for for him to take flight. I don't enough have enough time to turn IS back on and stop down. I was forced to shoot action at 1200mm wide-open without IS at 1/250s!!! :-[ Needless to say all pictures were not sharp, not even one. I would have really loved to capture this one sharp and properly framed if I had not touch that 2x converter... :'( :'(

Angus, as I said before, if the subject is 'so rare and important', don't mess around with taking off/changing converters!!! ::)

No amount of IS will save these shots as the blur was the result of subject movements rather than your lens in this case ... ;D

I have'nt seen Bonelli's Eagle before. It's good you got such beautiful shots.
