Title: Yellow Wagtail (黃鶺鴒) Post by Anguslau on Nov 8th, 2004, 4:36pm This morning at Long Valley was quite good. Saw several new species that I have never seen before (doesn't mean they are rare! :P). Birds were everywhere, very different from the last few times when I was there. I will be very busy if I were just watching the birds because there were just birds all around me! But trying to take photos was still extremely tough. Light level was extremely low in early morning. Most birds were at a distance and they were all very small... There were countless numbers of all kinds of wagtails. These were amongst the first photos I took this morning. Title: Re: Yellow Wagtail (黃鶺鴒) Post by KK Hui on Nov 8th, 2004, 5:04pm The second shot is truly excellent, Angus! ::) It shows 2/3 of it back with lots of details, the pose and the clean bg to boot ... The soft light helps in this case. KK Hui ARPS www.geocities.com/kkhui_001 |

Title: Re: Yellow Wagtail (黃鶺鴒) Post by Anguslau on Nov 9th, 2004, 4:27pm 飛, thanks for the kind words! ;) Not really, I tend to take many photos and you only see those that are reasonably sharp. ;D When using my EF600, I always try to stop down 1 stop to reduce the impact of focus errors. I am struggling all the time trying to get sharp pictures... :P ;D |
