There are at least 60 of these birds can be seen early morning on the mudflats in Sok Ku Wan when the tides are right

great flying fish catch 8)

have't seen this flying fish catch action on egret  in TBT or MP. may be fish moe easy to find there.

Little Egrets do it all the time in YSW.........., they either pick up live fish, or dead fish that are cast out by fishermen when cleaning their nets.
Have seen Pacific Reef Egret doing it also.

Another from today........ as you know light was dreadful today with absolutely no sun whatsoever........, but managed to drag this one out.
Fish doesn't look very happy though  :-/

24/01/2006 - The Weather Report
A cold wintery day today on Lamma as the northeast monsoon is bringing cold weather to Guangdong.

Cold and mainly cloudy. One or two rain patches in the morning. The minimum temperature will be about 11 degrees in the urban areas, and two to three degrees lower in the New Territories (that's us) . The maximum temperature will be around 14 degrees during the day. Moderate to fresh northerly winds.

Outlook : Cold tomorrow. Still rather cool in the morning midweek this week.

So definitely a need to wrap up........
