The marking on the fish body tells it all. It's definitely a mudskipper with a much distorted head ... ;D

did it catch it in mud or in water. have't see Common Kingfisher go down to mud. but WB & BC will .

o i c.. the head is tail actually.. now i can see the mudskipper lah.. ha ha..

Hendrix, last time a common king go down to mud get trap and catch by a pond heron. Mac took a series of that.. poor king..

The tide was just coming in when this shot was made hence this little chap wasn't diving into the mud ... And you can see the mudskipper came out so clean too.
