Taken this morning (not digiscoped)

Have to tell you this:
Had great fun taking this & other shots this morning.
There was I snapping away happily from my hide, when the owner of the land I was on turned up. Thought the polite thing to do was introduce myself & ask if ok to take photos (albeit after the event).
He was staring in my direction, so I gently pulled the hide material off myself............ & nothing...., he just kept staring past me.
So I said hello........ nothing. He just kept staring over my head.
So I said hello a bit louder & in Chinese. He suddenly focused on me 10' away from him & in Khaki apparel.
Poor chap leapt out of his skin!!!!! I swear his shoes & clothes stayed where they were, but he had an out of body experience about 2' in the air.
Anyway he saw the funny side & let me stay

Curious to know a bit more about your marvellous hide! Is it a bought one?

I'm embarrassed to say........ is the fly net of a purple tent..... which is ok, but it still has a purple door on it  :-[
But I manage anyway (2nd pic is full frame [vertical]).... have some more photos to show.

Like these especially coz Pond Herons have always been so difficult for me to get close to...... up till now  ;D

Hehee... this is interesting, thanks for sharing!  ;D  Especially the Pond Herons don't mind, your's a good one indeed...  ;D

I admire that you always capture the jewels in every bird... Keep it up~  :)

Nice one Owen......, but if you want to get really close let me know......... although I was chased of the land yesterday by the wife of the man I scared.... but I think I can still get in close enough for a 400mm.
