Very wonderful pictures, so clear and bright for bird of the gloomy leaf litter floor!

These are lovely shots but I think the "female" is, in fact, a Grey-backed Thrush and not a Japanese Thrush. If you compare the photo with the one by Neil a few posts down, you'll see that the orange on the flanks is far more extensive, extending onto the sides of the breast, and that the spotting is confined to the breast, whereas on Japanese it extends down towards the belly (just visible on Neil's photo below the branch).
