17/03/2006 Long Valley

As inspired by Hendrix, I tried my 500/4 handheld on field.  No doubt it is relatively portable and very attractive to those who have a pair of strong arms (like Pippen).  This shoot was taken near its min. focuing distance of 4.5m, which maybe too long compared with Owen's combo (300/2.8+1.4 or 2x).

my tailor bird at 300/2.8 + 2x handheld in a very min focus range (around 6 feet) 1/250s F5.6 @ iso400 ;)

Yes, Owen, 300/2.8 is an attractive option considering its sharpness, speed and mim focusing distance.  Hope I won't  ¤@Õi§Y¦º.. !

Canon 500/4 features IS,which was verified today with this rabbit (http://www.hkbws.org.hk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Conservation;action=display;num=1142766504) at 1/80s.  Of course, Pippen can even make a lower SS.
