Nice shots.

Glad you found them Charles........ next time you are over I'll get you closer........ early morning there are about 40 of them & during the day about 20.

Should consider revisit Lamma as I am not lucky enough to see the Reef Egret. :-[ But I am still happy to see many beautiful bugs (http://www.dchome.net/viewthread.php?tid=243619&extra=page%3D1) on that day. :D

Btw, see an interesting lake at Lamma from the map (http://www.google.com/local?f=q&hl=en&q=22.214017,114.133508+(Lake+Here%3F)&t=k), is it also a good place for birding?

Lake at old quarry near Sok Kwu Wan is very bare of any kinds of birds. Maybe some black kite fly over, but nothing else. Trees are plkanted all around, but only Eucalyptus and Casuarina so what do the birds eat?
