One pair photographed from Hide No.3 (gei wai 16/17) observed nest building. First confirmed nesting attempt in HK?

I have also observed avocets nest-building and copulating on the scrape at Mai Po in previous years. I think they are encouraged by watching the stilts around them!

So far they have never stayed around long enough to actually breed but maybe this year...
