Title: Re: Bonelli's Eagle 白腹山鵰獵夜鷺 Post by HF_Cheung on Jun 19th, 2006, 9:14pm That is a wonderful sequence of photos. The fact that Bonelli's Eagle would go for Night Heron in HK is worth a note on the annual report. From the result of Egret Research Group, the number of Night Heron have undergone serious decline in the past several years, although I don't believe Bonelli's Eagle has anything to do with this. Title: Re: Bonelli's Eagle 白腹山鵰獵夜鷺 Post by Captain on Jun 20th, 2006, 5:08pm I also saw an adult Bonelli's Eagle carrying an adult NH near A Chau, Starling Inlet in March 2000. So, perhaps Bonelli's Eagle is the top aerial resident predator in HK, in particular summer time. Captain |
