Title: Red-billed Blue Magpie紅咀藍雀(Qian Shan千山,Liaoning遼寧) Post by Uncle_Tall on Sep 26th, 2004, 4:18pm Red-billed Blue Magpie 紅咀藍雀 Urocissa erthrorhyncha 10/9/2004 Qian Shan千山, Liaoning遼寧, China 300D+300F4IS+2x http://www.hkdcug.com/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/13206/blue%20magpie.jpg http://www.hkbws.org.hk/fileServer/PhotoG/uncletall/uncletall_039.jpg This is probably a small new discovery. We saw a flock of at least 4 blue magpies along the main road in the park preening after bath. This sighting is more northeast than the known distribution of this species. We are both delighted but also worried that it may represent global warming phenomenon. Of course there is always possibility of escape where there are so many Buddhism temples around in the park.
