Hello to all,

My name is Eric, from Singapore. Have gained much inspiration from the many professionally taken photographs posted on this forum. Hope to share and learn from all.

Thanks for sharing your photo. Would you tell us where you took them, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve? Really close indeed!

Hi Webcreeper,

Sad to say that the little grebe is becoming a rather uncommon (more like rare now) bird in Singapore due to extensive habitat loss from urban development. Singapore have lost most of it's freshwater wetlands over the last few years and the only place that the little grebe is known to still exist in Singapore is at Lorong Halus.

This is probably the last known mating pair of little grebes left in Singapore.
