Another great bird. Where did you photograph all the land birds? Which camp did you stay at? You seem to have had much more variety than I did at the lodge.

We stayed at KJC (Kinabatangan Jungle Camp) from 14 to 18 May, then flighted back to KK and stayed at Mt. Kinabalu till 21 May.

Andrew,

This golden-naped barbet was seen the start of the Summit Trail at the Timpohon Gate inside the Kinabalu Park Headquarters to the Public Works Department's Power Station at 1,829m.  It's definitely our luck to get it before our walk.  It is endemic to Borneo but said to be commonly heard (but not seen) in the highland.
